Leadership Makes an Impact: Fellows Partner with United Way

This week, the Greater St. Louis, Inc. Fellows Experience demonstrated their commitment to the community by spending two days volunteering, contributing their skills, and creating meaningful change across St. Louis. The leadership development program partnered with the United Way on Wednesday to broaden their understanding of leadership beyond financial metrics, followed by Thursday’s program-wide Day of Service, which engaged 16 locations throughout the city.

“Intentional leadership has the power to create both organizational growth and positive change in our region,” explained Trezette Dixon, Senior Director of Greater St. Louis, Inc. “Our Fellows are designed to advance their careers while becoming change agents for St. Louis. Through experiences like this week, they gain real-world examples of how to foster community involvement, civic responsibility, and effective leadership.”

The week’s activities brought together more than 80 current Fellows and approximately 45 alumni Fellows. Prominent community organizations and leaders—including the Missouri Historical Society, Explore St. Louis, Valley Park School District, Affinia Healthcare, MasterCard, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Edward Jones, and the City of St. Louis—facilitated valuable conversations and educational sessions.

Applications for the 2027 Fellows cohorts will open in the coming weeks. Learn more about the Fellows Experience.
